CardioLeather at the "Materiais 2023" event

The CardioLeather Project was represented by our promoter Universidade de Aveiro at the “Materiais 2023” congress, held in Guimarães (Portugal) from April 3rd to 6th, 2023.

We showcased a poster on “Strategies to Modify the Leather Conductivity Towards Wearable Sensor Applications”, and visitors also had the chance to experience our Wheel Demo and associated mobile app (“ECG Biometrics”), acquiring their own electrocardiogram.

CardioLeather at the "TECH4INNOV" event

We had a great time at the TECH4INNOV event, organized by ANI (Agência Nacional de Inovação), in Europarque (Santa Maria da Feira, Portugal). The event was held on March 29th, 2023.

We were represented at this event by our promoter CTIC (Centro Tecnológico das Indústrias do Couro), who showcased our innovative and non-intrusive electrocardiogram acquisition technology through leather.

Visitors also got to try our Wheel Demo!

CardioLeather at the "Lineapelle" event

The CardioLeather Project attended the Lineapelle event in Milan (Italy) on February 21st, 22nd, and 23rd, 2023, represented by our promoter CTIC (Centro Tecnológico das Indústrias do Couro).

Visitors were able to acquire their electrocardiogram simply by touching the conductive leather of our Wheel Demo and see it take shape on a smartphone.

It was an excellent opportunity to promote the concept of the CardioLeather Project!

Visit to the Couro Azul factory

On the 8th of February, 2022, representatives of CardioID Technologies, Couro Azul, CTIC (Centro Tecnológico das Indústrias do Couro), and Universidade de Aveiro assembled at Couro Azul’s headquarters.

This meeting’s goal was to demonstrate the different stages of leather production, as well as to line up the first steps for the leather functionalization.

A word of appreciation goes to Couro Azul, for the cordial welcome of the team elements!

Project Kick-off

On January 27th, 2022, the kick-off meeting of the Portuguese Consortium CardioLeather took place, at the Lezíria Parque Hotel, Vila Franca de Xira (Portugal).

The meeting was attended by representatives of CardioID Technologies, Couro Azul, CTIC (Centro Tecnológico das Indústrias do Couro), Instituto Superior Técnico, and Universidade de Aveiro.

Its primary goal was to identify the different stages of the project, and the active and fundamental role of each partner in the development of a smart leather for health, wellbeing, and safety monitoring in automotive vehicles. It was with great enthusiasm that we witnessed the Consortium’s eagerness and readiness to produce outstanding results.

It’s on!
